STREET VENDOR PROJECT
AGENCY: THOUGHT MATTER
ROLE: SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER/ILLUSTRATOR
The Street Vendor Project is a membership-based collective of 2,900+ workers advocating for street vendors' rights at a time when immigrants' rights, labor protections, and public spaces are increasingly under threat.
Working alongside Thought Matter's Design Director and the Street Vendor Project's Deputy Director, I helped evolve the brand through a refreshed visual system and messaging framework. I designed a secondary logo inspired by intersecting street signs — transforming them into a bold symbol of protest — alongside a suite of icons representing the diversity of vendors and goods they sell. Together, we built a vibrant brand toolkit of bold colors, expressive typography, and ready-to-use social templates, posters, and stickers, empowering vendors to display pride in their work.
The resulting system is built to mobilize — driving awareness and impact online, at rallies and protests, and in rooms where policy decisions are made.
